2006 Diary

5th May: Emergenza Semi-final date 19th May
Howdie. OK, make sure you get your asses down the 'Fiddlers Club', Bedminster on 19th May because that's when
'Etched In Stone' are competing in the semi-finals of Emergenza!! Yes, we are the first band on again at 9pm
but that doesn't matter...just means that if ya get bored after we've done our bit then you can leave...
JUST as long as you've cast your VOTE (the voting takes place after each band have performed) Mind you,
I've seen most of the bands that are on with us and they are real good so you may as well stay and enjoy
the night.

We can't wait and have been working hard to make it even more special for you so you don't wanna miss
this folks! Yes, the tickets are £6 but just think of the freebie gigs you'll be attending in the very near
future and the goodies you'll get for being our No.1 fans! We'll have plenty to give away real soon so (I fucking
hate this phrase) here it comes.. watch this space...deeerrrrrrrr! ;o) Seeee youuuu atttt Fiiddddleeeerrssss
guyyyyyyysss!!!
24th April: To Be Continued...
Mmmnn? Well obviously there can't be too much to say at this present time due to the band having only performed
twice in the last two weeks but I'm sure we'll have plenty to inform you of in the near future. We hope you'll
enjoy reading our entries, watching the site grow and leaving us your feedback and hopefully some fan mail?!?

This page won't just be for me (K.B) but all the band members who will hopefully contribute regularly to save
me the job of doing all the typing for a change. So come on boys...gossip, news, new material, perhaps you've
got your fingers stuck in a printing machine (note for Kris there!) tell the people all about it here.

20th April: Band Launch @ The Bierkeller
The band launch was a complete success! Not only did we bring quite a good crowd with us, we attracted a few
new faces and even got paid for the gig...woooaahhhh! ;o) You can check out our set-list for the gig in the
gallery. The three other bands were also very cool. Especially 'Rimshot' who we're hoping to get some gigs with
in the near future - double header maybe?
15th April: The Fiddlers-Emergenza-we did it!
We got through to the semi-finals of Emergenza Unsigned Festival!!!
We were hoping for a little more time before our first live performance however Emergenza kindly told us that
there was a slot available for us after all. So we ended up being dropped from quite a height into the deep end
BUT, it paid off.

We performed 4 songs from 'Dead Girl On Earth' and closed off with the brilliant new song (first written as
a band, check out lyrics) 'Black Art' which went down a storm with the audience. We weren't able to get that
many people to attend at such short notice but we still had a dedicated few turn up to see the first ever live
performance of 'E.I.S'. On top of our fans we managed to gain an extra 13 votes which got us through in 3rd
place. 2nd place went to ill system and 1st place to Merrick who were fucking awesome - has to be said (and
they obviously had more people than us!) Everybody said they couldn't believe we'd only been together 8 weeks
and we agreed with them.

We all got totally trolloxed after our set. So you can imagine the scene given that we were first on - plenty
of time to hit the sauce! Kris had a mini catfight with the Bassist from 'Skandal', who were the guest band
for the night and totally rocked! Nothing to worry about though...well...there was for Kris when the Bassist
stood up! Kris told him he was a pretty big bastard. Things kinda calmed down after that ;o)
Steve thought he lost his guitars and turned into a madman - briefly - until Mark told him he'd already
packed them away! What a night! Still, I met some really cool people. Band members from 'The Smir' and
'Skandal'. All of which were top blokes and I may be hooking up with them in the future to lay down some
vocals on their new albums. We'll see what happens. Gotta do 'our' album first! Roll on the semis!! And make
sure you are all there to help us play at the 'Carling Academy' finals since it will be hand votes again.
